Roving Reporters Cricket Club Won By 55 Runs
Match report
RRs returned to winning ways with a record breaking victory in the all-day match at Knebworth.
Having been asked to bat, openers JJ and Tony Rymer were still batting at lunch, before they eventually both retired having hit centuries. Their opening stand of 198 was RRs' highest ever partnership, before some late hitting saw RRs post their highest ever total of 288-7.
The first over of Knebworth's response yielded an incredible 25 runs (sorry, simmo) but two wickets from Mike Jordan halted the early onslaught. Chris Jones then took 5-54 during his best spell of the season, before Scooby mopped up the tail to seal a 55-run victory.
