Match report RRs first trip to Aldenham this season didn't quite live up to last year's nail-biter.
Having been asked to bat, 30s from Popeye and Simmo and 20s from Pat Met, Pikey and Rocky were useful contributions but a total of 172-8 was with hindsight a little low.
A torn hamstring and a wasp sting later left RRs battling valiantly with 10 men, even with sub Brian Holton on the pitch, but three wickets from Rocky and two stunning catches from Waitrose proved in vain as Aldenham reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets with 8 overs left.
