Match report Batting first for the second week on the trot, valuable contributions from the top 4 - Tony Rymer 60, Chris Jones 34, Paul Smith 44, and Pete Jenkins 26 - allowed RRs to reach a total of 210-7.
Del Boy and Dave Rees shared five early wickets as Colney began their response in kamikaze fashion. Some late order hitting offered Colney hope but Dave Simmons mopped up the tail to give RRs a convincing 71-run win. Highlight of the fielding performance was Pete Jenkins taking his 100th catch for the club - a stunning, one-handed diving effort that left the sizeable crowd rubbing their eyes in disbelief.
