Next Saturday sees RRs take on Arkley for the Roy Watts Trophy. It will be the second year that we play for the trophy following the abandoned game last year - where one of the highlights was undoubtedly the superb tea laid on by the Pike family.
It would be absolutely fantastic to see as many players and supporters - past and present - down at Chandos Avenue next Saturday, not only to take in some cricket but more importantly to remember Roy, who meant so much to so many people. Roy was a much loved figure and absolute stalwart of RRs, and played in many such RRs games against Arkley through his long cricketing career.
Please try to get down to Chandos Avenue if you can - should you not know it, the location of the ground is between 58 and 60 Chandos Avenue, Whetstone, N20 9DX.
After the game we'll be heading to The Prince of Wales in East Barnet. It would be great to see as many people as possible next Saturday.
