2023 see's the return of the Roving Reporters Fantasy Cricket League. For those who have played before the rules are fairly simple.
Entry costs £5 and there will be a cash prize for the winner which will be announced at the End of Season awards in November. You then need to purchase 5 players from the list, to the maximum value of £5. No requirement for a keeper to be selected.
Points will be allocated for the following:
Batting
1 point scored for every run scored
Bonus 10 points for 50 / Bonus 20 points for 100
-5 points scored for a duck
10 points for batsman Not Out at end of innings
Bowling
10 points per wicket
Bonus 10 points for 3 wickets / Bonus 20 points for 5 wickets
5 points for maiden over
10 points for an economy rate of less than 4 an over (must bowl at least 2 overs)
Fielding
5 points for a catch
5 points for a run out
Keeper
10 points for a catch
10 points for a stumping
10 points for less than 10 byes conceded / 20 points for 0 byes conceded *
* must have kept for at least 21overs in the game,
Guest – Anyone who features for the club who does not feature on the original players list.
This year we will also be having a transfer window in August between 1st and 5th whereby you can make up to 2 changes in your team, as long as you don’t go above the £5 limit.
All surplus funds raised will be used to contribute towards the end of Season do, and therefore we are asking players, families, and friends to enter a team.
