Roving Reporters Cricket Club

Gameweek 6 saw the club travel to Hertford for their 13^th game of the season and unfortunately it was unlucky for some. A decision by the days skipper to play a 40 over game instead of timed, meant that Reporters suffered their second defeat of the season. A difficult day in the field saw only 4 wickets fall and Hertford set a challenging 239 total to chase. Standout bowling for all rounder Rogie saw him bag himself half of the teams bowling points (20) after picking up 2 wickets. A catch for AJ meant his fielding performance tallied 15 points. With opener Mark Walton and Danny Mills both knocking yet another 50 for the season, they both picked up batting bonus points, meaning they finished on 79 and 61 points respectively. John Rogan added to his two wickets with a flurry of the runs, bringing his overall points scored to 46, however the club fell short of the overall total, losing by 16 runs.

AJ still creeps out in front of overall points thanks to the team selectors dropping Simmo from this weeks fixture and 61 points from Danny Mills now means he sits 3^rd. Mark Waltons points per game of 54.75 means that he sits at the top of the league. No change to the top of the table as Dyslexia Untied pushes past 1000 points and remains in 1^st position. More Chaos moves up the table even further and now sits 5^th. No change to the bottom of the table either as L B’ W’s remains grounded, only 14 points off Stevie’s Wonders. With only 3 game weeks before the transfer window, some managers may want to start studying the form table to line up replacements.
