Martin Dyer .... Legend
Five hundred victims - comfortably the highest by any wicket-keeper in RRs' history - is not the only record Martin holds. He also has the distinction of being the solitary survivor still playing from the club's very first official match back in May of 1974, and he is the only person to have appeared in each of our 37 seasons.
And right now he is just a handful of appearances away from becoming the fourth player to top 600 appearances (the others being fellow old farts Roger Jones, Roy Watts and Martyn Watts).
Thank you, Martin, for making a major contribution to the club's well-being over so many years.
But what has happened to the famous aeroplane impersonation behind the stumps so beloved of our opponents?!
