Broxbourne cry-off sets up emotional Ickleford return for PJ

07 May 2011

With Broxbourne crying off Sunday's match in fear of becoming RRs' fourth victims of the season, Ickleford will now provide our opposition, giving RRs golden oldie Peter Jenkins the opportunity to return to the club he played for thirty years ago. In an exclusive interview with the RRs website, PJ recalled the day he was ruthlessly poached from Ickleford by Manor Drive: "After one match for Ickleford, i was approached by two blokes who introduced themselves as Craig and Mervyn. They'd heard that i'd regularly been hitting sixes half way to Hitchin. They gave me an opportunity i couldn't refuse... Playing with Terry Miles!" Will Ickleford live to regret the day they let Chaos slip through their fingers so easily? Probably not, but we'll find out on sunday....
