20/20 Madness

After losing the toss, Roving Reporters where put into bat. With the first over going for 14 due to 3 wide deliveries and Tony R being dropped it seemed that Roving Reporters where going to set a decent target to which Farmstead would have to chase down, the following overs proved different as Roving Reporters top 5 Batsmen where all out for 11 runs, including 3 ducks in 8 overs, leaving RR's a bit of a task. Up stepped Sundays hero Patrick Metselaar and skipper J Jenkins to set a decent score for RR's to defend. With the last over seeing Patrick dismissed and an 8 scored by Jonathan Jenkins off the last ball due to good running and pressure and an over throw to reach the boundary. This set Flamstead CC a target of 158.

With the game being played on an astro wicket Tom Rowlands Bowling seem to fly past the bat for his 4 overs he bowled only conceding 10 runs. With slower bowling getting the wickets, Chris Palmer and J Jenkins knocked over a few of the Flamstead batsmen and with tight fielding and a good run out it meant Flamstead fell just short of Roving Reporters total after 20 overs.
