CJ in Maiden Ton Heaven

28 May 2012

Chris Jones struck a memorable maiden RRs century to lead the team to victory on a sweltering day at London Colney. Having again won the toss and chosen to bat, Hertfordshire born skipper Rogan sent CJ out to open the batting and he did not disappoint, with a colossal performance to be proud of. With former RRs playing stalwarts Roy Watts and President Jones (as well as former skipper Jenkins) watching on intently, CJ batted with poise, patience and no little amount of skill to reach three figures for the first time, via a brutal six over mid-wicket in the final over. RRs then bowled with (eventual!) guile and, aided by some good catching, secured a second win of the season.
